In last week’s post, I mentioned a recent car ride with my husband in which he noticed a business sign with the message, “Trees let go of leaves for a reason.” Shortly after that sign sighting, I noticed a message by someone’s mailbox that asked, “Is it well with your soul?” As I related that to our theme of “Serenading Comfort,” it brought up a recent podcast I heard. One of the people talking mentioned resilient grieving and said that one aspect of that is asking yourself if something is helpful or not. The implication is, if it is helpful, engage with it; if it isn’t, don’t. The more we engage with the things that are helpful, the more serenading comfort is available to us and the more things are well with our souls.
