As I continue to think about our theme of “Grief is Loss in Pieces,” I’m reminded of the many stories people have shared with me about their grief journeys. Some talk about how at first they were numb, then they were busy taking care of the logistical pieces, next they worked on rejoining their lives, and it was at this time that they realized they had to learn to make their lives good again. Grievers can only handle a few pieces at a time and that is okay. We all need to grieve in our own way and in our own time.
