You may have noticed that our last blog post was on January 29th. The reason we took a break has to do with our theme this month, “Tender Moments.” I, Jackie Naginey Hook, needed to be tender with myself these past few months. My 93-year-old father fell on January 27, broke two ribs, and had internal bleeding. He was transported by ambulance and helicopter to Hershey Medical Center three times over the next six weeks and although he wanted to continue on, his body was tired. Dad died on March 12th. I took a break from writing these posts so I could be present to the many tender moments with my dad and family before his death and then again as we’ve started our grief and healing journeys. Thank you for your understanding.
