How do we run on empty when we’re grieving? As we discussed last week, resolutions and intentions can help. Resolutions can help get us moving when we feel stuck. Intentions can help us be open to what our hearts might be telling us in the moment. For example, some grievers might give themselves a resolution to accomplish three things in one day – get outside, drink plenty of water, and finish one to-do item. These same grievers might give themselves an intention to check in with themselves before making a decision and consequently, more easily say no to inquiries and requests. Running on empty is about finding healthy balances of feeling the loss and restoring our lives.
