Clara A. Johnson, 89, of State College, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born December 20, 1922, in Mercer, she was a daughter of the late John I. and Pearl Lockard Amy.

She is survived by two children, Thomas E. Johnson and his wife, Dorothy, of Warrior’s Mark, Lori A. J. Kenney and her husband, Stephen, of Oswego, NY, a sister, Midge Ryder of Mercer, seven grandchildren, David, Ryan, TeriLynn, Kristen, Nicholas, Alexander and Sean and three great grandchildren, Justin, Jocelyn and Brandon. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry A. Johnson in 1983.

She was a 1940 graduate of Mercer High School.

Clara was a former employee of Supelco in Bellefonte.

She attended the Pine Hall Lutheran Church and was an avid bingo player.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gatesburg Lutheran Church, 1924 West Gatesburg Rd, Warrior’s Mark, PA with the Rev. Susan Williamson officiating.

Burial will be in Gatesburg Cemetery.
